Memorial Day Tribute
Monday is a national holiday. Banks and government offices are closed and the mail will not run. Many will celebrate with family and friends. Some will travel (by plane, car or in their minds) to a national cemetery to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
For those who lost a comrade in arms…we say thank you for standing as a living witness that the price of glory is too high and the honor paid in memory, too low, by too few.
For those who sent a loved one to serve and never return…we say thank you for the gap they left and the gap they filled to maintain freedom in this country.
This Memorial Day, we remember those who serve and those who lost their lives in service to this country. We remember that freedom comes at great cost – freedom is not free.
Greater love has no one than this; that someone lay down his life for his friends.
